The Ducks got the previous Saturday's horror show at Rushden out of their system with a solid and competent performance to reach the next round.
They got off to a great start in just the 6th minute when Ralph Perna skipped past his opposite number on the left and crossed low for John Davie to get in ahead of everyone else and touch the ball home.
The Ducks were nervy for a while in the second half before the second goal came in the 78th minute when Mark Heeley latched onto a through ball and with only Wood keeper Steve Foody to beat, finished with some aplomb to set up a trip to Harrow Borough in the next round.
