Aylesbury set off like the proverbial train and race to a three goal lead inside the firsty thirty odd minutes. In form striker Darren Collins opened the scoring as he raced past two defenders and struck an unstoppable effort into the corner from twenty yards out. It was the former Northampton Town man's fifth goal in five games and the home defence had no answer to his electric pace.
Two minutes later Cliff Hercules doubled the lead with an elegant lob over the keeper and Kevin Davies added a third before the break. His was probably the pick of the strikes and was hit with such venom it almost burst the net.
United eased off after the break but Hercules completed the scoring from close range to give his side their most comfortable victory of the season so far.
