It was an excellent all-round performance by The Ducks against the Kent side who had finished in the top 6 the previous season but were made to look very ordinary by Steve Ketteridge's side after the 'hunger' that was missing from the Molesey game (despite their 4-1 win) returned in style.
The hosts took the lead in the 10th minute when, in an outrageous piece of luck, Cliff Hercules went down the area after an innocuous challenge by Keith Sharman, referee Mr Dodge said penalty and Allan Pluckrose calmly slotted his spot kick past Bromley keeper Curtis Hayes.
It was 2-0 in the 44th minute when Naseem Bashir's through ball found John Caesar who ran on before firing past Hayes for his 3rd goal of the season.
It was 3-0 in the 58th minute when Bashir's cross from the right ricocheted off a Bromley defender intio the path of Michael Danzey and as the crowd appealed for handball and inadvertantly distracted the visitors' defence, Danzey slotted home to put the final nail into Bromley's coffin on the night.
Bromley were steamrollered into submission to such an extent that they didn't have a shot on target till the 82nd minute but the game had been over as a contest long before that.
