Aylesbury ventured to Kent for this FA Trophy tie against Tonbridge, lying fifth in the Dr Martens League Southern Division. Watched by a crowd of 438, Aylesbury improved on their previous performances and returned with a deserved 2-0 victory.
The Ducks didn't have it their own way though, and coach Gary Phillips was once again on top form against a home side which included Craig Wilkins the Division's top scorer with eight goals.
In a good all-round team performance, special mention went to Carl Hoddle who returned to the starting line-up, and wing back Kieran Gallagher for his excellent crosses.
Five minutes from the interval a Gallagher cross was headed past keeper Radford by Matt Hayward who scored his first goal of the season.
The tie was put beyond reach after 66 minutes when Tonbridge failed to clear and top scorer Matt Carmichael snapped up his eighth goal of the campaign.
