Aylesbury thoroughly justified to draw and it took a goal three minutes from time by striker Mick Swaysland to get this hard earned point. Gary Phillips returned from injury, but Justin Merritt and Justin Skinner (suspended) were ruled out.
In a quiet first half the visitors caused few problems, and Matt Hayward was unlucky not to score on 16 minutes when his strong header was diverted onto the bar by defender Everitt.
A minute into the second half Sutton took the lead through an unmarked Matt Hanlan after good work by Andy Salako, but the Ducks failed to fold and hit back strongly. Tony Joyce struck a free kick just wide, and a Swaysland shot was kicked off the line by Clark.
But all the good work eventually paid off just before time. Sutton failed to clear a Matt Brady corner and Swaysland was at the far post to smash the ball home.
