Ian King had to takeover from the missing deadball expert Kieran Gallagher, and he gave United the lead after 10 minutes direct from a corner. King curled the kick in a packed penalty area and the ball somehow got through everybody - his third goal in the last three games.
As expected, Bromley proved to be the Ducks sternest test of the season so far and caused plenty of problems. However, it was the home side who had the better chances. Keeper Wietecha denied Corey Browne and top scorer Gary Crawshaw should have made it 2-0 on 39 minutes after a lone run but slotted narrowly off target.
In the second half Richard Wilmot did well to tip over a header by Allen, but on 68 minutes he failed to hold a corner and Zahana-Oli followed up to level. On 72 minutes Crawshaw had a goal disallowed, but a minute later he collected a pass from Jason Soloman, advanced into the box and superbly smashed home his 10th goal of the campaign.
Despite Bromley's efforts to get back, United's defence never gave the visitors another sniff at goal. Indeed in the last quarter it could have increased to 6-1. Wietecha twice saved well from Browne, plus shots from Soloman and Jermaine Darlington both going wide.
