Roni Joe had Aylesbury's first chance to take the lead on 9 minutes when he latched onto a Stuart Maynard cross only to see his shot easily saved by the home keeper. Roni also shot over from 10 yards out on 25 minutes an attempt which was sandwiched between unsuccessful long range attempts from Tom Hill and Phil Mason.
The Ducks took the lead on 39 minutes when Staines failed to clear a corner and the ball found its way to Scott Honeyball, who powered it home from about a yard out.
Roni Joe had two further chances to double the lead before Stuart Maynard made it two three minutes into first half injury time. Joe skilfully took the ball past two defenders and laid the ball into the path of Maynard who coolly hammered home.
Roni Joe was the focus of Aylesbury's attacks for much of the second half, narrowly failing to score a deserved goal on two occasions before Ceri Marshman completed the scoring on 74 minutes. Dwain Clarke's powerful cross found Marshman unmarked six yards out and he made no mistake with a powerful header.
Phil Mason and Dwain Clarke both had chances to make it four in the final ten minutes, however the Ducks had to be content with three.
