A late injury to Dwight Marshall forced manager Cliff Hercules to shuffle his pack and give Demba Traore a full debut and the loan man set up Ollie Stanbridge in the first minute. Unfortunately the diminutive midfielder missed the target.
The Ducks started in fine style and took the lead after just nine minutes when Roni Joe curled in an exquisite effort. Steve Clark doubled the lead seventeen minutes later, firing home from fifteen yards.
Four minutes before the break Tony Boot fired home from close range to give his side hope and then a minute later Scott Honeyball was adjudged to have pushed the same player in the area allowing him the luxury of notching his second from the spot.
Windsor packed their defence in the second period as the Ducks pressed forward for the winner. Twice they had efforts cleared off the line before the breakthrough finally came. Steve Clark scored his second of the game with just over ten minutes left, curling a twenty yarder past Bunting in the visitors' goal.
