Northwood pulled themselves level on 25 minutes when Peter Risley headed a Dave Sargent corner into his own net. Risley did however make up for his error almost immediately as he cleared Kieran Knight's goal-bound shot off the line.

Rob Paris had a header cleared off the line and Dwain Clarke came close as Aylesbury tried to force their way back into the game, before Dwight Marshall gave the travelling fans hope with his 21st goal of the season with 10 minutes left.
Apart from a Chris Bangura header which flew wide there were no further chances for the Ducks to secure what would have been an undeserved point.
