United took the lead on 6 minutes when Dwain Clarke beat the offside trap before firing past Slough keeper Zepherin from a tight angle.
Chris Bangura nearly made it two before Simon Ullathorne went close for the visitors from a direct free-kick. Bangura did make it two on 43 minutes when he exchanged passes with Dwight Marshall before breaking free of the defence to score.
Two minutes after half time three points were secured when Bangura provided Marshall with the opportunity to score his 22nd goal of the campaign which he duly did against his old side.
Slough offered little resistance and the rout was complete on 78 minutes when Greg Williams scored with yet another great solo effort. Greg cut in from the right and ended his long run with a 25 yard drive which flew into the top right hand corner of the net with Zepherin stranded.
