The home side took the lead on 12 minutes when Carshalton keeper Searle's long clearance found Mark Hynes on the left hand side of the area. Hynes proceeded to place his shot across Adam Wheeler and into the bottom right hand corner of the net.
Carshalton had further chances to increase the lead before Aylesbury fought their way back into the game as half time approached. The deserved equaliser came on 43 minutes when Dwight Marshall flicked home Dwain Clarke's cross via a post.
Within a minute the home side regained the lead when Gary Elliot's long throw was headed on by Mark Cosgrove and Hynes headed home from close range for his second goal of the game.
In the second half Hynes went close to completing his hat-trick before a long period of Aylesbury pressure. Despite having the majority of the second half possession the Ducks didn't really test the home keeper although he was forced to pull off a superb one handed save in the last minute following a goal bound header from debutant Kieran Knight.
