The first forty five minutes of the game were somewhat frustrating as Aylesbury failed to convert a number of chances, however five minutes before the break, newly arrived Gavin Tomlin (signed from Gillingham) broke the deadlock when he converted Danny Gray's cross. United were assured a two goal cushion three minutes later when Adam Campion fired home via the underside of the bar.
The lively Gray rattled the Wokingham bar in the second half as United introduced their big guns, namely Craig Maskell and Joe Baker, into the equation. Gray set up Maskell for United's third on 72 minutes and Baker got his name on the scoresheet with six minutes left when he volleyed home a Phil Dicker cross.
