Steve Cordery once more shuffled his team with players unavailable (Richard Gell and Julian Charles cup-tied, Gareth Risbridger and Richard Horner injured) and brought Matt Rolfe into the team at right-back, with Greg Williams playing on the left of defence. Adam Campion made a return to the starting line-up, on the right-wing, Craig Maskell started on the left-wing, with Kezie Ibe starting up front with Chris Bangura.

The Ducks, and especially Adam Campion, looked possitive during the opening exchanges. Aylesbury took a slightly fortuitous early lead after 10 minutes. Greg Williams swung in a deep curling cross, and Chris Bangura skilfully moved aside to allow it to travel straight into the net...Or did he just miss the ball at the near post? No doubt he'll claim the former...1-0 Aylesbury

Aylesbury had made a good start to the game, and Craig Maskell climbed to get his head on an excellent cross, which perhaps he should have buried. Windsor then crept back into the game, first with a free-kick. The kick was taken from the byline and cleverly rolled back to the edge of the area. However, the onrushing Spencer Walsh could only clear the nets behind goal with his wild effort.

Windsor got themselves back in the game, and it was the player the Ducks had been warned about, Craig O'Connor who scored it. Some impressive movement in the box saw him dart between two defenders and glance a header towards goal. The ball bounced and looped over Worgan into the net. There could, however, be no excusing the fact that he was the smallest player on the pitch, and should never have found the space he had. 1-1

Not content with just one goal, the lively O'Connor nearly scored a carbon copy two minutes later. Completely unmarked in the box his header was well wide. The Ducks were back in the lead after just four minutes though. Just as rumblings on discontent from those in the run who insist on moaning at the team had surfaced, Maskell hit a thunderbolt of a right-footed shot right into the top corner. He looked as shocked as anyone at the quality of the strike! 2-1 Aylesbury

Unfortunately the lead only lasted a minute. Windsor pulled themselves level after some poor defending saw the Ducks unable to clear their lines, and Leon Townley was on hand to fire the ball home from close range. By this time it seemed that there would be a bucketload of goals at each end. As it turned out, this was the final goal. 2-2

The Ducks were looking rather suspect defensively by this point, especially when dealing with crosses. O'Connor was proving a real thorn in the side for Aylesbury, as they struggled to stay with him. Yet again he got free in the box, and his powerful shot was well held by Worgan on his near post.

The remainder of the half saw the ball at both ends as the two sides looked to go into half time in the lead. Kezie Ibe had a couple of chances for the Ducks. The first saw him hit a swivelling volley under pressure in the box, and the second saw the talented forward bring the ball down, before turning and firing a shot straight at Trevor Bunting in the Windsor goal.

Half-time: Aylesbury 1-1 Windsor

The second half was rather quieter in terms of efforts on goal, with the Ducks defence looking more composed. An Aylesbury corner resulted in a goalmouth scramble, after Steve McGrath's goalbound header was blocked. Soon after a quality cross from Maskell was headed wide by Ibe.

As the game wore on, Windsor were keeping the ball well, without threatening the Ducks goal too much. A swift counter attack from the visitors saw a stinging shot just wide, although to be fair, Lee Worgan had the effort covered.

As the game reached the end, both sides tried to grab a winner, and it was Windsor who came the closest with a number of decent opportunites.
