Aylesbury achieved the impressive feat of becoming only the 2nd side to leave Hardenhuish Park with anything other than defeat in 2005/06, whilst continuing their unbeaten record against Chippenham Town.
Neil Trebble was without unavailable duo Dean Harding and Richard Burton, but handed debuts to Bermudan former Barnet midfielder Damon Ming and striker Richard Pringle.
With Chippenham sitting 2nd in the league before the match, United would have been happy to escape Wiltshire with their pride intact, but they very nearly turned the formbook on its head to claim all three points.
The two teams were evenly matched in the first half, although chances were at a premium. Pringle was lively up front, winning plenty of aerial balls for his side, and it was he who had the first effort two minutes in, turning a shot goalwards at the near-post which was held by Perrin.
At the other end winger Wayne Allison had a shot held by Sam Styles after sprinting forward with the ball, and Alan Griffin hit a chipped effort well over the bar with David Gilroy lurking to finish the move off.
The home side were being frustrated by Aylesbury's hard work and dogged defending. The back four were excellent throughout, and Ian Herring smashing over a free-kick summed up his side's afternoon so far.
Mark Bridge then gave United a not underserved lead, when he fired a superb curling shot past Steve Perrin from 25-yards, with five minutes of the first half remaining. It was Bridge's first goal for the club. 1-0 Aylesbury

As expected, the Bluebirds came out of the dressing room all guns blazing. United's defence continued to stand firm though, despite ever increasing pressure.
Griffin saw a headed effort easily claimed by Styles, and Nick Stanley fired an effort wide as the travelling fans started to nervously count down the minutes.
Chippenham went close on 65 minutes when Allison fired a powerful cross-shot that really could have gone anywhere, but was deflected behind for a corner kick.
They came closer still five minutes later. A dangerous free-kick was headed back towards goal and although the ball was on its way in, substitute Matt Rawlins slid in but only succeeded in diverting the ball over the crossbar, from less than two-yards out.
With just two minutes of normal time remaining though, Chippenham did get the equalising goal. Allison did well to beat his man on the right flank, cut inside and curl a lot shot in off the post. 1-1
Still the home side weren't satisfied though, and Styles was called into action to make a good low save after Gilroy had been played clean through. The ball looped up and was headed back goalwards, before being cleared off the line and away to safety.
It finished 1-1 and United secured an unlikely point, thanks to their sheer determination and a solid performance from the backline. Neil Trebble's first win surely can't be far away now...
