Kerry Naisbitt opened the scoring after thirty seconds. Catriona Cameron's through ball found the bustling striker in space and Naisbitt dispatched an unstoppable shot past the keeper.
United keeper Harriet Parkin was forced into a save moments later before the lead was doubled on four minutes. Naisbitt fed the ball to Lynn Pacey who calmly took it round the keeper and slid the ball into an empty net from an angle.
Just before the half hour mark it was three as Sally Short took on and beat her marker before crashing the ball home for her first ever goal for the club.
Right on half time Aylesbury almost added a fourth as captain Sarah Gerrard picked out Lynn Pacey, but the diminutive striker's looping effort flew agonisingly wide.
After the break the visitors started to play a little but Parkin kept the Abbots out with two fine saves early on.
Topscorer Hannah Franklin made a welcome return from appendicitis as a second half substitute and almost scored with her first chance before the game turned the visitor's way with less than fifteen minutes to go.
A hopeful ball into the area looked to be safely heading into Harriet Parkin's hands when a very high looking boot took it from her grasp and dropped over the line.
This break spurred Hillingdon on and the lead was cut further with two minutes remaining. Then deep into injury time a suspiciously looking offside goal completed a remarkable comeback.
There were many more positives than negatives for United to take from this game as they head for Brize Norton next week in the League Cup.
