Despite Malvern being one of the few Division One Midlands teams to try and play football they rarely posed a threat and United were comfortable in keeping another clean sheet.
In the seventh minute United nearly opened the scoring when Nugent headed the ball on into his own path and lobbed keeper Lewis Skyers, but a defender was well positioned to clear the ball.
The Ducks couldn't build on their strong start though and the game became a turgid affair. The only notable event being Ross Taylor narrowly failing to connect with a through ball from Sam Swonnel.
Half-time: Malvern 0-0 Aylesbury
Aylesbury got their second half off to a perfect start as Nathan Graham put them into the lead. A long throw was turned back into the area and Graham was in the right place to stretch and guide the ball home. 1-0 Aylesbury
Five minutes later and Nick Leach tried his luck on goal, sidestepping his marker but driving the ball straight at Skyers.
By now the Ducks were looking dangerous every time they came forward and Malvern had no answer to their play.
Taylor headed wide at the far post from Gallant's cross, and then Ben Stevens could only head over after Gallant fed Liburd who delivered from the right.
Andy Shed replaced Nugent on the hour mark and looked sharp on his second match back since sustaining his pre-season injury.
Kevin Mealor hit a free kick high and wide, before the home side had their first genuine effort of the match when Greg Andrews dribbled infield and fired a shot which was easily held by Tom Vincent.
The result was made safe twenty minutes from the end. Mealor beat his man on the left and produced a fabulous cross which Graham nodded in at the far post. 2-0 Aylesbury
The Ducks somewhat took their foot off the gas after the second goal, but Malvern looked susceptible and the scoring could have been increased further with a bit more attacking intent.
Both Ben Stevens and Andy Shed had efforts go wide of the target - Stevens after bursting forward with the ball and Shed having swivelled well in the area, before an easy win was rounded off by Taylor heading wide after Swonnel had hung the ball up for him.
The Ducks had finally clicked into gear and were demonstrating what they were capable of and they dominated the closing stages of the game but couldn't add to the scoring.
