Craig Henney was hero of the night, scoring a hat-trick in a game which seemed just too easy at times for the Ducks.
United handed Glen Hawkins his full debut up front in an attacking looking line-up, as he came in for the suspended Ben Stevens.
The visitors got off to the perfect start with a goal inside five minutes, Henney taking a great touch inside the area before being tripped, dusting himself down, and converting the spot kick. 1-0 Aylesbury
Supporters sensed a rout was on the cards when the lead was doubled seven minutes later, Henney beating the offside trap and finishing well past Underwood. 2-0 Aylesbury
Andy Shed tried to get in on the act when he played in a dangerous low cross which had to be cleared off the line, the ball dropping to Swonnell who dragged his shot across goal.
Far from going on to score highly, Aylesbury's poor defending from their nightmare against Chesham reared it's head again as they couldn't clear the ball allowing Sean Biswell to crack home a half-volley almost immediately. 2-1 Aylesbury
In truth that was as threatening as Berkhamsted managed in the first half, and the Ducks cruised through the remainder of the first period and indeed the match.
Hawkins worked hard throughout and he had the next chance after controlling a freekick but his left footed effort lacked the power to beat Underwood.
The night did throw up a new spectacle of Nick Leach taking Aylesbury's corners, and his delivery on twenty minutes was met by Graham at the far post but he couldn't make proper contact and headed wide.
Graham tried his luck again moments later when he latched on to a sliced clearance by a home defender, but with the whole goal to aim at he fired wildly off target to the left.
Despite the presence of four strikers on the pitch, it was only poor finishing that was keeping United from increasing the scoring. Mealor curled a free-kick over the bar, and another good corner delivery from Leach was half cleared to Shed who powered his shot over.
Henney had an effort held by Underwood after showing great technique to bring down a long ball and turn quickly in the area, before Nathan Liburd got in on the act by shooting wide after a cross dropped to him.
Half-time: Berkhamsted 1-2 Aylesbury
The second half got off to a slow start, and Aylesbury made two early substitutions ? young defender Chris Aslett replacing Leach and Jason Castello on for Graham.
If it wasn't already, the game was made safe on the hour mark when Henney was allowed enough space in the box to head home a corner kick. 3-1 Aylesbury
The Ducks kept on in search of further goals and Hawkins played a delightful layoff back to Swonnell who hammered a shot just over the bar.
Mealor caused mayhem with a corner kick which was allowed to travel all the way through the area and shaved the far post.
Henney then went for a spectacular fourth with a fierce swerving effort, but Underwood got his body behind the ball to make the catch.
The last five minutes belonged to Nathan Liburd who went in search of his first goal for the club. First he did superbly to beat his marker and fire in a low show which was well saved by Underwood.
As the ball popped back out to him he hung up a great cross which was met by Hawkins and cleared off the line.
Two minutes later he was at it again, this time hitting a more powerful shot which was parried by Underwood.
In the final minute Mealor curled another free-kick over the bar, but Aylesbury had to be content with their three-goal haul despite the number of chances they created.
