The visitors had the first chance of the game but a strong shot was well saved by United keeper Harriet Parkin.
Once the Ducks settled they quickly gained the upper hand and Hannah Franklin and Gemma Butterfield both had efforts saved early on.
Top scorer Franklin created several good goalscoring opportunities but the Slough keeper was in great form and thwarted the United striker on each occasion.
Recent signing Christine Martone then combined well with her striking partner but the desperately unlucky Franklin saw her shot cannon back off the crossbar.
The visitors always looked dangerous on the break but the Ducks defence held firm with Beth Harris having a particularly strong game at right back.
United finally got their just desserts as the breakthrough finally came on thirty eight minutes when a Lucy Ilic corner, one of a number of fine crosses, was turned in at the near post by captain Sarah Gerrard, her first goal of the season.
Before the break Hannah Franklin had a couple more chances but once again the Berkshire keeper was in frustratingly good form and stopped the United striker adding to her season's tally.
After the interval substitute Kerry Naisbitt and Christine Martone had efforts saved before the lead was finally doubled on the hour mark. Sarah Gerrard rose majestically at the near post to head home from close range.
Further substitutions enforced a United reshuffle but chances continued at either end before a frantic final five minutes saw three more goals.
In a rare lapse Aylesbury failed to clear their lines and allowed Slough in to score but then almost immediately restored their two goal cushion. Sally Short had an effort saved before the ball was played into Lynn Pacey and the diminutive midfielder shot low and hard under the diving keeper and into the net.
The Ducks had to endure an unnecessarily nervy last few minutes as Slough hit back with the next attack to reduce the deficit but the valiant Aylesbury side dug deep and held on to their precious three point haul.
