The Ducks started with more purpose and centre half Lucy Ilic almost put her side ahead from the first corner of the game, only a scrambled goal line clearance thwarting two efforts in quick succession.
Shortly afterwards Jen Lambie played Sarah Flight into space and the midfielder's shot flew just wide.
The home side had their first opportunity on eight minutes but the first of a string of excellent saves from United keeper Mel Gilbert kept Chinnor out.
Aylesbury then created a number of openings with Leigh Reed, Jen Lambie and Trina Freeman all going close before Chinnor hit the bar from close range.
It was the Oxfordshire side who finally took the lead, somewhat against the run of play, through former United striker Nicola Hunt.
Current Aylesbury striker Hannah Franklin then had a shot saved before hobbling off the field with a thigh strain.
The Ducks weren't to be denied an equaliser for long though as a looping lob from Sarah Flight flew over the keeper and into an empty goal.
Flight almost doubled her tally moments later following a flick on from Twinkle Dean, but her shot drifted over the crossbar.
Hunt restored Chinnor's lead before some excellent football between Kerry Naisbitt and Suzie Cole set up Leigh Reed, whose shot unfortunately lacked enough power to beat the keeper.
Suzie Cole almost levelled things again just before the interval before Hunt completed her hat-trick at the other end of the park.
Not to be outdone skipper Gemma Franklin set up Suzie Cole to fire a sweet half volley home to reduce the deficit once more but the home side re-established their two goal cushion late on with a lob with gave United's player of the match Gilbert no chance.
Some good performances again then as United look to find a combination which will bring them the success they crave.
