Aylesbury started well and in the first 5 minutes both Gemma Franklin and Suzie Cole had chances to open the score.
It was eleven minutes before Brize Norton had their first chance but Mel Gilbert delivered a good save. However after a further four minutes Brize opened the score after United had failed to clear.
Then following a good save by their keeper from Suzie Cole, Brize counter attacked and scored a second goal.
Aylesbury United pulled one back after a goal mouth scramble that fell to Suzie Cole to make it 2-1.
However three minutes later Brize regained their two goal lead but then in a five minute spell, just before half time, Aylesbury fought back to level terms, 3-3, following a fine volley from Kay Norton and an even better free kick by Leanne Walker.
The second half was fairly subdued until the 72nd minute when Kay Norton was put through, beat the outstretched keeper but lobbed the ball just wide.
Then in the 80th minute Brize regained the lead after Aylesbury failed to clear the ball.
There was still time for Aylesbury to level the score but Suzie Cole's two half chances were saved.
Although Aylesbury stay top of the league and despite Lucy Ilic being awarded player of the match this was a disappointing display by the team overall, hopefully they will learn from this and treat this game as a blip.
