The game started with Aylesbury on the attack but after 10 minutes it was Hillingdon who opened the scoring with a shot that lobbed the keeper.
Further pressure from Aylesbury followed but shots from both Sarah Cole and Suzie Cole were saved. Gemma Franklin then hit the bar following excellent football involving Sarah Gerrard.
Despite continue pressure it was not until the 44th minute that Aylesbury equalised from the penalty spot, the keeper having brought down Kay Norton and was lucky not to get sent off. The penalty, incidentally, was Laura Warmbier's first goal for the club.
Further pressing after half time led to Aylesbury having a goal disallowed for being offside and a shot from Gemma Franklin that went wide.
Some fairly mundane play ensued until Aylesbury finally took the lead in the 80th minute after a goalmouth scramble, the ball falling to Sarah Cole who slotted home from close range.
Instead of pressing for a third decisive goal Aylesbury eased off and allowed Hillingdon to equalise in the 86th minute.
By now, too late, Aylesbury pushed for the winner but their efforts went unrewarded.
Aylesbury should have won this game fairly easy but failed to take advantage of the pressure they applied. Nevertheless it was nice to see Bethan Harris being awarded Player of the match which she thoroughly deserved.
