The Berkshire side had gone into the game with a 100% record and soon showed why creating several good chances from the start.
United looked a little out of sorts for a period before the home side finally took the lead on twenty minutes, a rapid break down the right flank was fired home from the edge of the penalty area.
This stirred the Ducks into action and Sarah Flight powered past three players but unfortunately slipped just as she was about to shoot and her effort went wide.
Ten minutes later and Aylesbury were back into the game when the ball fell to Twinkle Dean outside the box and her clever lob left the keeper flapping at air and watching helplessly as it dropped just the right side of the upright.
United had keeper Mel Gilbert to thank right on half time when Maidenhead broke free again, her magnificent sprawling dive just flipped the ball wide of the post to maintain parity.
The Ducks looked much more themselves in the second half although it was the home side who struck first just minutes after the restart.
The response was immediate though as Lucy Ilic found Suzie Cole in space and a deft flick released Gemma Franklin to fire into the far corner.
Cole then created a couple of half chances before setting up Dean for her second as Aylesbury went in front for the first time. A looping corner evaded everyone except Dean who powered home a header.
Unfortunately United couldn't quite hold on for the victory though as Maidenhead found a way through with four minutes remaining but the Ducks showed much character in this performance and travel to Olney next week in the newly created Berks and Bucks Womens Trophy.
