The Middlesex side hadn?t been beaten all season but United were always on top, despite going a goal down early on.
With less than five minutes on the clock the home side drew first blood when a long ball over the top fooled the United defence and the quick thinking forward latched on to the pass and made no mistake.
This seemed to spur the Ducks into action and the equaliser took just three minutes to arrive. Captain Gemma Franklin led from the front and hit an unstoppable shot past the home keeper.
The remainder of the half was fairly tight with Aylesbury having the better of the chances, Leigh Reed, Suzie Cole and Twinkle Dean all went close before Beth Harris had to perform heroics at the other end with a last gasp clearance off the line.
In the minutes before the break United had two glorious chances to nose ahead. Steph Dean set up Kay Norton, but the diminutive striker?s volley whistled just wide of the post before Dean struck a superb free kick which the keeper could only push on to the post and scramble away.
With both sides pushing for promotion the second period was always going to be tense and at times tempers boiled over.
However apart from two excellent saves from Mel Gilbert in the opening minutes, the Ducks never really looked troubled and when Kay Norton tapped home following a good pull back from Franklin, it looked just a matter of time before the points were sealed.
The third finally came after a spell of constant Aylesbury pressure when a teasing Suzie Cole cross was deftly headed home by leading scorer Franklin.
Substitutes Beanie Cameron and Lucy Ilic both had half chances late on before Suzie Cole wrapped things up with an exquisite lob in injury time.
A great all round team performance from the Ladies which well and truly keeps their promotion dream alive going into the final weeks of the season.
