It’s been a tough season for the Ducks to date and this victory should give them the belief that they’re a better side than their results suggest
The match was fairly one sided once United took the lead in the fourteenth minute. Sarah Cole’s pinpoint cross found Kerry Naisbitt and the striker made no mistake on the volley
Aylesbury scored twice more inside three minutes when firstly Gemma Franklin released Leigh Reed to finish with ease before winger Susie Cole broke free and made no mistake with the keeper stranded
A momentary lapse in concentration saw the home side pull one back a minute later but three further goals before the break put the result beyond doubt
Sarah Gerrard released Sarah Cole who scored from a tight angle, Cole senior then bagged her second when her blistering turn of pace beat the defence and then Reed added her second on the half hour
Battling Brize didn’t give in though and scored again just before the end of a breathless first half
The start of the second period was no less relentless as substitute Kay Norton scored with her first touch a minute in to the half and Susie Cole completed her hat-trick two minutes later
Gemma Franklin then got her name on the score sheet, her first since returning from the birth of her son, before the match finally calmed down a little
Kay Norton notched the Ducks tenth ten minutes from time and Carly Swain completed the scoring just before the whistle, her first for the club for six years
Overall a well deserved morale boosting victory for United which gives them a Quarter Final clash at Olney Town
