United's team showed one change to that which was beaten by Aylesbury FC, with Richard Armstrong returning to midfield in place of Zack Reynolds. There was also a first place in the squad for summer signing Lee Grace after injury.
The Forresters made the early running as the outstanding Shane Wood blocked a shot, before a training ground free-kick saw an effort turned behind by Steve Hatch.
Yet it was Aylesbury who had the ball in the net first, against the run of play. From a Town corner kick, the Ducks broke quickly, with devastating effect, ending with Dom Petrucci lobbing the ball square for Paul Edgeworth to head home. 1-0 Aylesbury
Cinderford were quickly back on the attack as a low cross was beaten away by Jack Sillitoe before the ball was cleared, and it was against the run of play once again that United extended their lead.
A long throw from the right by Shane Wood was headed crisply into the net by Armstrong for his first Aylesbury goal. 2-0 Aylesbury
Four minutes later and it was nearly three for the Ducks as a slick move down the left resulted in Jack Wood being slipped through, but his shot rebounded off the woodwork and behind the goal.
In one of a few first half flash points, Mike Whittington was booked for a moment of retaliation, and, later, with Cinderford claiming to have kicked the ball out of play for an injury, the Ducks played on as Keith Williams saw his misdirected cross tipped over by Alex Harris.
The hosts suffered another blow as influential defender Andy Lewis was forced out of the game injured, to be replaced by namesake Greg.
Cinderford continued to be a threat and a good move down the right ended with Sam Hunt lashing an effort wide, before the ball was rolled back to a striker who fired well over two minutes later.
Aylesbury then began to ask questions of their hosts again, as Blackett intercepted a clearance and fired for goal, but his low shot was easily fielded, whilst Keith Williams curled a free-kick straight at the keeper.
Petrucci struck an effort well wide having been set up by Bill Morgan and a minute before half-time Armstrong had a shot spilt by Harris, who had a shaky game, but Blackett was just unable to force home the rebound.
Half-time: Cinderford 0-2 Aylesbury
Edgeworth started the second half with a free-kick that curled just over the bar, before the home side introduced a couple of early substitutions including man mountain centre forward Lewis Sommers.
It was his swivel and shot from a throw-in which nearly found the net, Sillitoe alert, but his general physical presence gave the Ducks something new to think about as he won aerial battles time and time again.
One of Sommers' flick ons found fellow substitute Sam O'Sullivan in a glorious position, but he wasted the chance by sidefooting wide.
A rare moment in the opposition box from Aylesbury saw Jack Wood float a shot wide, a corner awarded which came to nothing.
But it came as little surprise when The Forresters pulled a goal back, with 18 minutes remaining. O'Sullivan's cross in from the left was met by the diving Hunt and the net bulged. 1-2
Another Cinderford chance saw a hooked cross headed wide by Dan Harrison when well placed, and the home side had another very good chance when Barnes' ball in found O'Sullivan who fired over.
With a combination of good defending and good fortune, Aylesbury had weathered the pressure and finally sealed the win three minutes from time.
Blackett chased down a long ball, committed Harris into making a hash of clearing his lines, before dribbling on and scoring into the empty net. 3-1 Aylesbury
Two late substitutions helped to run the clock down for the Ducks, but there was no time left for a Cinderford comeback and United advanced to the 1st Qualifying Round, where they will meet Combined Counties outfit Westfield.
