Talented utility man capable of playing any position on the park, Lea had three spells with Aylesbury United finishing just short of 150 appearances. His latest time with the Ducks was between 2015 and 2018 after rejoining from AFC Kempston Rovers in October 2015 having previously played for the club in the 2010/11 and 2014/15 seasons either side of a spell at Ampthill Town.

A striker when he first joined, he was Aylesbury's top scorer in his debut season at the club with 27 goals, having been prolific over four seasons with New Bradwell St Peter before that, and he maintained that record with Ampthill, netting over 50 goals.

As age and injuries took their toll, he moved into midfield, making most of his latter appearances for the Ducks in that role, whilst also covering defensive positions on a number of occasions, always to great effect wherever he lined up on the pitch.

Also previously played for Windsor & Eton and spent time with Mursley United and Winslow United on 'dual registration' and also appeared for Tring Corinthians (Aylesbury United's development side) on one occasion.

After falling out of favour with new manager Ben Williams, Lea moved to Leighton Town for the second half of the 2017/18 season before, in June 2018, following manager Scott Reynolds to Aylesbury FC for his first coaching position.
