Began his career in the Birmingham City Academy where he spent some 6 years, before joining Racing Club Warwick for a season upon his release.

Spent a number of years in the USA having taken a soccer scholarship with Boston University, also featuring for New Hampshire Phantoms in the states.

Torn cruciate ligaments in 2003 hampered his career, taking two years and four operations to recover from, and brief spells with Redditch, Evesham and Leamington followed before a full season at Bedworth United.
