Richard initially joined the club from Stotfold in January 2006, as previous manager Neil Trebble attempted to add some much needed presence to Aylesbury's strikeforce.

He was one of the few players to remain with the club over the following summer, and was a revelation the next season as he top-scored with 21 goals despite having been lured away to a higher level by Bedford Town for part of the campaign.

He remains the last player to score 20 goals in a season for the club, and in that tally included some spectacular goals, none more so than a memorable 25-yard volley at Bedworth United.

After leaving Aylesbury he went on to play for Hitchin Town, Leighton Town, Arlesey Town and Barton, and following his return to the Ducks he added another four goals to his tally.
