During his first spell in charge he lead Aylesbury to their Diadora League Cup triumph and FA Cup Third Round Proper in 1994/95 before resigning in March 1996, before being re-appointed on the 2nd December 1997.
In a long career Ketts played over 200 league games for the likes of Derby County, Wimbledon, Crystal Palace, Leyton Orient, Cardiff City, as well as featuring for Barnet, St. Albans and Chesham United.
