With over 300 games in charge, Tony Joyce was Aylesbury United's second longest serving manager since the club's most successful, Trevor Gould, departed in 1992. A former Ducks defender who had three playing spells at the club, he was appointed manager in October 2009 having spent the previous three years with Buckingham Town, and left Aylesbury some six years later in October 2015.

After United were relegated to the Spartan South Midlands League, Tony lead a team restructuring operation which eventually culminated in 2013 with promotion back to the Southern League and a Premier Division Cup trophy to go with it, along with many more highlights along the way.

With a few choice additions he achieved Southern League stability for the club and lead the team to another cup final - but a disappointing start to the 2015/16 season lead to him bringing an end to his tenure and resignation in October 2015.

Tony's long playing career took him to the likes of QPR, Aldershot, Woking and Staines before he joined the Ducks for the first time. He then went on to represent Stevenage Borough where he was a regular of their 1993/94 Premier Division title winning side, before moving to Boreham Wood and later Wealdstone.

He returned to the Ducks twice more, but each spell was relatively short and he subsequently never reached twenty appearances for the club.

In the dugout, his first managerial role came at United's former groundsharing tenants Thame United where he was player-boss, before a spell as Kettering Town's Reserve Team manager and also a brief spell in the Aylesbury dugout as Assistant Manager at the back end of the 2005/06 season.
